Bronze is an alloy or alloy with copper as its main component. Most commonly, bronze refers to a mixture of copper and tin, but is also referred to as other copper alloys, except copper and zinc alloys, which is called brass.

Copper-based alloys have a lower melting point than iron, and copper machining and Metallurgy are easier to control than iron metals. Copper density is about 10% higher than iron. Corrosion does not damage bronze in the same way as iron, especially in marine conditions. Bronze also takes some fatigue better than iron.
